What do we do?

Air traffic controllers
We are responsible for providing separation between aircraft in the air; between aircraft and vehicles at airports, we ensure smooth and efficient traffic, we guarantee the safety of air operations and we are responsible for making your flight safer, so that every time you fly you return home safe and sound, we work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so that "You Never Fly Alone".
For this purpose, we are present in the Control Towers, Approach Offices and Control Centers of our country and we carry out our work under the auspices of the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, the entity in charge of providing the Air Navigation service.
Control Towers
The Control Tower is the department in charge of the movement of aircraft at the airport and its surroundings, granting authorizations for takeoff and landing, as well as being in charge of the movement of vehicles and aircraft in the maneuvering area, it is normally configured with two Control positions: a local controller in charge of the runway and the aircraft that are in the air; a Ground Controller who is in charge of the taxiways and aprons.
Approach
The Approach Control Office is responsible for air operations outside the immediate vicinity of the aerodrome or airport until the route is established. This office is responsible for maintaining smooth traffic flow for both arriving and departing aircraft.
Control Center
The Control Center is responsible for aircraft during their cruise phase, typically at level altitude, or in their final climb or initial descent phase. Aircraft remain under its jurisdiction for extended periods, and it is responsible for large areas of airspace. Its configuration is by sectors, and the extent or complexity of traffic determines the size of these sectors.
